News Release -- Colorado State Board of Education adjusts cut scores for digital SAT math on the Graduation Guidelines
The Colorado State Board of Education on Wednesday adjusted the cut score for the digital SAT math test that is used as a measurement to demonstrate competency for the state’s Graduation Guidelines.

News Release - Colorado Department of Education releases preliminary school and district frameworks
Today, the Colorado Department of Education released preliminary school and district frameworks based on 2023-2024 data. The results show that schools and districts earned higher marks on the preliminary accountability frameworks than last year with a trend of continuous improvement statewide since the pandemic upended learning in 2020.

Landscape of Wellbeing and Belonging Conference on Sept. 18-19

News Item - CDE to host 2024 Landscape of Wellbeing and Belonging Conference on Sept. 18-19
For the third year, the Colorado Department of Education will host its Landscape of Wellbeing and Belonging Conference focused on supporting educators with creating supportive and engaging learning environments for students. The conference will take place in Colorado Springs on Wednesday, Sept. 18, and Thursday, Sept. 19, and while seats are currently full, the department is inviting educators to join the waitlist.

News Release - Colorado student attendance data from 2023-24 shows continued improvement
The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) today released 2023-24 data on student attendance and chronic absenteeism that shows promising gains in both areas. Student attendance increased by .7 percentage points going from 90.8% in 2022-23 to 91.5% in 2023-24. Rates of chronic absenteeism decreased by 3.4 percentage points declining from 31.1% in 2022-2023 to 27.7% in 2023-24.

News Release - State assessment data shows Colorado students making gradual improvements in achievement
The Colorado Department of Education today released state-level results from spring 2024 administrations of the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) at third through eighth grade for English language arts and math; fifth, eighth and 11th grade for science; and ninth through 11th grade for the PSAT/SAT.

These year-long learning cohorts provide opportunities for educators from across the state to learn about and share best practices in improving student outcomes.
