School Counselor Corps Grant Program (SCCGP)
The PWR of the SCCGP:
Colorado's SCCG Program is a state funded, competitive, four-year grant that is designed to distribute funds to eligible education providers to:

Increase the availability of effective school-based counseling to help increase the state graduation rate and increase the percentage of students who appropriately prepare for, apply to, and continue into postsecondary education; and
-
Support work-based learning awareness, education, and opportunities.
This program is pursuant to C.R.S. 22-91-101 through 22-91-105.
Comprehensive School Counseling through SCCG:

The SCCG Program focuses efforts on hiring licensed school counselors to develop and implement data-driven programming that supports students':

Academic success

Career success
-
Personal/social needs

The SCCG Program facilitates closing the achievement gap and improving attendance, academics, and postsecondary outcomes for students by:

Decreasing the student-to-school-counselor ratios

Enhancing partnerships
-
Increasing postsecondary preparation programming

Colorado's licensed school counselors hold a master's or higher degree in School Counseling. View details about the Special Services Endorsement in School Counseling.
