Join us this summer in Durango for a FREE two-day conference to learn resources and strategies to support Multilingual Learners (MLs) in the special education process. Participants will conducting thorough and appropriate evaluations and delivering targeted instruction that meets each student's unique needs.

This year's conference is a special collaboration between Fort Lewis College, Colorado Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (CoTESOL), and the CDE. This two-day event is designed for Special Education Teachers, Special Service Providers, English Language Development Teachers, and Administrators.   MLACAS is an excellent opportunity to share and discuss resources and strategies to ensure that MLs receive high-quality special education services that meet their unique needs. This conference is a great opportunity for educators who work with MLs and Indigenous students, and we are excited to offer certificates for 6.0 Special Education and Behavioral Health and 6.0 EL PD recertification hours for all who attend both days and complete an action plan. Slots will be limited, so please register early.

This is is a great opportunity for educators working with MLs, including Speech-Language Pathologists, School-Based Mental Health Professionals, English Language Development Teachers, Special Education Generalists, school and district administrators, and other related professionals.

Participants who attend both days and complete an action plan will receive a certificate for 6.0 CDE Special Education and Behavioral Health hours and 6.0 EL PD recertification hours.

The CDE will not be able to provide lodging or travel reimbursement for attendees.
