Learning Cohorts: New Arrivals
Navigating New Arrivals: Securing Support Systems
Has your school or district experienced a recent shift in enrollment of newly arrived students and families? Has your language program served newly arrived student previously and now you’re noticing gaps in the systems and supports? Would you like a community of asset-based educators to collaborate with and share success stories? This cohort was created to respond to the needs of districts and schools experiencing unprecedented shifts in student populations with multi-faceted needs.
Designed for school and district leaders navigating the support of newly arrived students, Navigating New Arrivals: Securing Support Systems is a cohort for sharing experiences, resources, and a space for sharing real-world challenges and solutions. In six sessions, we will explore topics from enrollment and identification all the way to graduation and will remain flexible to the needs of the participants. Come join us and a community of your peers working to support newly arrived student success today!

Participants
School and district leaders whose role serves newly arrived students in their systems in any capacity. Cohort participation is encouraged for anyone looking to incorporate best practices for new arrivals in any educational context or setting. Examples of ideal cohort participants include ELA and Math Directors, Post-Secondary Directors, Principals, Network Superintendents, and CLDE Directors.
