TLCC Survey: Teachers are encouraged to take the 2020 Teaching and Learning Conditions Colorado survey by Friday, February 21. The TLCC is an opportunity for Colorado educators to anonymously voice opinions on their work environment and career satisfaction. The results from this survey are used to guide school and district improvement efforts and to drive state-level policy and research.
Educator Preparation Programs Report: A new interactive dashboard is available with information about the effectiveness of the programs in Colorado that train teachers, principals, and special service providers.
TEACH Colorado: A new website and outreach campaign will help anyone interested in pursuing a career as an educator in Colorado. TEACH Colorado's mission is to inspire people to become teachers by providing them with support throughout their journey to becoming an certified teacher.
Colorado Educator Loan Forgiveness: A few days remain before the February 21 deadline to apply for the Colorado Educator Loan Forgiveness Program for the 2019-20 fiscal year. In 2019, the passing of Senate Bill 19-003 authorized the Colorado Department of Higher Education to make payments, on behalf of participants, on qualified educational loans with priority to educators serving in rural and/or hard-to-fill positions in Colorado. Math on the Planes (February 28-29, 2020): This year, Math on the Planes is featuring Barbara Daugherty with a workshop titled Making Math Work for Our Special and Struggling 6th-12th Grade Students. Each day starts at 8:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. Lunch is included both days. MOTP will be held at the Adams 12 Conference Center in Thornton. PEBC is offering two math institutes/workshops that may be of interest:
- Minds on Math (February 25-26, 2020): Advance your math instruction and learn how to address all eight of the Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice within the workshop model. Click here to register
- Math 2.0 (March 10-11, 2020): This two-day institute uncovers the foundation of mathematical meaning making. Join PEBC to explore the relationships between number sense, conceptual understanding, and problem solving that support learners' efficacy as mathematicians. Click here to register

Run for a CCTM Board Position: CCTM seeks nominations for 7 positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, NCTM Representative, and Region Representatives for Regions 1 (Denver area), 4 (St. Vrain, Brighton, and NE CO), and 7 (Pikes Peak area). You can either nominate someone else or nominate yourself. For descriptions of the positions, see the CCTM website.
Apply to be a STEM Advocate: The Society for Science & the Public is accepting applications to join their Advocate Program. As an advocate, you would be a mentor to encourage underserved students to enter projects in science research competitions. Advocates receive training, a $3000 stipends, and a paid trip to Washington D.C. for a national convening. Learn more and apply at www.societyforscience.org.

PAEMST: Nominations are being accepted until March 1 for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. This year's awards will honor science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and/or computer science teachers working in grades K-6. See the PAEMST website for more information and to nominate a great K-6 teacher.
CCTM Awards: Nominations are being accepted until February 29th for CCTM's mathematics teaching and leadership awards. Awardees will be recognized at the 2020 Fall Workshop with a plaque, CCTM membership, complimentary workshop registration, and a $200 award.
