CDE Field Trips - 9/4/24: Back to School: Kindergarten School Readiness training

CDE's School Readiness Team organized a virtual training on Aug. 29, to provide a foundational overview of the kindergarten school readiness requirements. The School Readiness team worked with more than 40 participants from across Colorado to review essential content and answer questions based on the Kindergarten School Readiness online guide.

The "just-in-time" training provided a clear understanding of what is required as the school year began, offering an overview of the fall data collection and how to implement it best. The training also focused on building relationships with CDE’s team, ensuring district officials new to the requirements know where to turn if they have questions. While the training touched on research-based practices, the emphasis remained on providing practical guidance, ensuring the information remained accessible.
