CDE Field Trips - 07/18/24 - Kids Backpack Program providing summer meals to 1,500 children in Mesa County

This summer, the Kids Aid Backpack Program is providing meals to 1,400 children in Mesa County. This community program serves children and families at 45 meal sites countywide. Kids Aid has also gone on the road, using a new Care-A-Van to bring food to children and families who cannot travel to the meal-sites. During the school year, Kids Aid provides weekend meal backpacks to 3,000 students at 118 locations.
