Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction - Emphasis in Alternative Licensing

The Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction (MACI) at Colorado Christian University provides you with the tools to enhance your educational career in teaching, training, administration, and curriculum development. The MACI degree is designed to further your cognitive abilities and relational skills. You will be able to apply a worldview informed by biblical scholarship as you learn to design and deliver curriculum. The Alternative Licensing emphasis is one of the Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction options. This emphasis is available only to students who teach in Colorado elementary or secondary schools. Students will take professional core requirements (18 credit hours) and 15 credit hours for the Alternative Licensing Emphasis. An additional three elective credit hours are required to complete the MACI degree.  The Alternative Teaching Licensing program is authorized by the Colorado Department of Education. A total of 36 credit hours are required for the Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction degree. (You complete 18 credits from the professional core, and the remaining credits will reflect whether or not you pursue an emphasis.)
