COPMS Tips & Tricks Video Series
The Colorado Performance Management System (COPMS), hosted by the vendor RANDA, is an online tool to manage and track evaluations of licensed personnel. COPMS is available for all districts, BOCES, and charter organizations to use at not cost. For those using the State Model Evaluation System (SMES), rubrics for all licensed personnel are already populated in the system. For those who developed a local model evaluation system, rubrics are able to be added to COPMS at a cost to the district.
COPMS is both user-friendly and highly customizable to fit the specific values and needs of every district, BOCES, and charter organization. To assist districts, BOCES, and charters in their understand of COPMS, the CDE Educator Effectiveness (EE) Team has developed a series of Tips & Tricks videos. These webinars offer step-by-step explanations for a variety of processes within COPMS such as how to conduct an observation, add evidence and artifacts to an educator's profile, and build Measures of Student Learning/Outcomes (MSLs/MSOs).
The below COPMS Tips & Tricks Video series is categorized by the role for which it is most relevant. The CDE Educator Effectiveness Team encourages districts, BOCES, and charter organizations to utilize these videos for training purposes both individually and with teams.
