Session Description:
Students learn through connections to their own interests and identities, particularly when learning is grounded in the contexts of their own communities and the changes they see in the world around them. This session focuses on strategies for engaging in climate change and climate justice learning appropriate to grade band NGSS standards, climate and energy literacy standards for both school and community based learning contexts. Resources for diverse challenges, including many of the STEM Teaching Tool climate resources, will be provided as well as a framework for helping educators, school teams, and districts to plan the use and integration of such resources into their unique contexts.
